Social-media direct messages and marketing
Instagram and other social-media direct messages can be electronic mail under UK privacy law. Following an account, viewing a post or becoming a new follower does not by itself consent to promotional DMs.
We send promotional direct messages only where:
- You specifically requested the information, for example by messaging “TRIAL”;
- You provided valid consent;
- A lawful existing-customer exception applies; or
- Another applicable law clearly permits the message.
You can opt out using an unsubscribe link, replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE, changing platform settings or contacting admin@valorembets.com. We keep a minimal suppression record so we can honour the request. Essential trial, account, billing and security messages may continue while relevant.
International transfers
Valorem Bets and its providers may process information in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, the European Economic Area and other countries used by the relevant provider. Processing locations depend on each provider and account configuration; contact us for current transfer details.
Where UK information is transferred to a country without applicable adequacy regulations, we use an appropriate safeguard where required, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum, an applicable UK–US data bridge mechanism or another lawful transfer route.
For Australian information, we take reasonable steps required by Australian Privacy Principle 8 when disclosing information overseas. Contact admin@valorembets.com for information about applicable safeguards.
